The BEHA is not a registry encouraging breeding. The BEHA is an association of people that share the common interest in blue eyed horses and promoting them as usable horses.
Facts about Blue Eyed Horses:
The common factor, that the Blue Eyed Horse Association has found is that registered BEHA horses all tend to have wide facial blazes.
We have been contacted by a geneticist that they may have found a common gene that is noted for blue eyes.
Blue eyed horses are not blind, they are not crazy, and they are not wild. They are a horse that is very capable of accomplishing what any other horse can.
Blue Eyed horses are not more prone to diseases.
Blue Eyed Horses tend to be light sensitive and will squint, just like blue eyed people.
